This has to have been one of my favourite holiday outfits for strolling down to the pool or beach! The pair look so put together when in reality they've just been thrown on for comfort and ease.
This gorgeous two piece with pretty patterned ribbons and tassels cost only £10 from primark, bought separately at £5 each! I paired the outfit with some ethnic leather slip on sandals and my rose gold Quay sunglasses. The two piece is not only easy to throw on but it's also light, breezy and comfortable to wear. I especially loved the open back detailing on the top (not pictured, sorry!).
This is the kind of clothing i'll keep in my wardrobe for years and wear it on many trips in the sun as its so simple and will be stylish year after year.
I love love love these high waisted blue printed shorts from New Look, they cost around £14 and look lovely dressed up or down! They're super lightweight so perfect for stuffy summer weather.
To go with the shorts i'm wearing this Cream V-neck, knot style crop top from Primark that cost only £4 and my big round sunnies picked up from a local Cyprus supermarket.
PS. I spent about 10 minutes spinning on the spot with people walking by to get the second photo, the rest of the photos had 101 double chins, eek.
Whilst in Cyprus this year i had this overall realisation that i'm completely infatuated with fashion. I might not follow all the latest trends and still have items in my wardrobe from 6 years ago but I do know that i'll rock an outfit until it can rock no more..
With that being said i've decided to start putting little posts together showing outfits i'm loving.
I wore this outfit wondering the streets on a day trip up to the north of Cyprus.
I absolutely love this black linen like racer back top with its little daisy details. It was found in the treasure trove that is TK Maxx and comes from the brand Japna.
My high waisted denim shorts come from the Primark S/S16 collection along with my trusty £1 black flip-flops.
I picked up my sunnies in a local Cyprus supermarket in Ayia Napa, along with my black bandana that was bought hastily to protect my burn scalp in 40 degree heat.
This outfit is perfect for trips to the beach as well as for strolls down the street and in parks.
With March nearing an end and the blossoming of Springtime, i thought i'd talk about some of my recent favourites.
1. Frends Taylor Headphones
Nothing beats a good jamming session to your favourite tunes whilst on the go or doing your daily activities. I've been using my Rose Gold Taylor headphones whilst studying for my last year at university, they're great for blocking out sound as they're nice and big but they also produce great quality sound. I've found it easy to sling them in my bag as they also come with a hand carry case!
2. How to Get Dressed by Alison Freer
How to get dressed was one of those books i saw on offer online and thought, why not? i've never really taken too much interested in self help fashion books as i've preferred to experiment with my wardrobe on my own. HOWEVER, this book is a little bit of a life saver. It's full of tips and tricks into making the most of your wardrobe and how to solve problems if they arise. From tailoring to tucking and everything in between, this book is worth a read.
3. Rimmel 60 Seconds - Mary Mary Quite Contrary
A gorgeous sing shade if you want to wear white polish but it doesn't suit you. White polish has never looked good on me because of my skin tone so i've had to find alternatives. This shade is a very light lavender colour that looks an almost off white/grey colour. Whats also good about this polish is it dries so quickly if you're a little impatient and prone to smudging like me.
4. Quay Australia
Quay has become quite the bloggers hype over the last year and i have fallen into the trap of falling in love with a lot of their sunnies. Although i love them its taken me this long to find my perfect pair but i'm so glad i waited. The shades i picked up are called Cherry Bomb. They're a Rose Gold frame with Rose Gold and Rose tint reflective lenses. They go with every outfit in my wardrobe and so they've become my go-to.
5. Dark red lips
Although spring is coming i'm finding myself drawn to dark reds to contrast my lighter spring outfits. The shade I've been wearing a lot recently is Earthy Plum by Avon Cosmetics but really i have a real mix of dark shades, some are more 90s vamp even!
6. Clinique Long last Glosswear SPF 15 - Air Kiss
When i'm not into wearing lipstick and am wanting something a little more toned down i've been drawn to subtle lip gloss. This shade by Clinique is a very light peachy pink colour that gives you a subtle boost in the lip department.
7. Radley London
I've known about Radley for quite some time however its only recently though i've found that they've upped their game big time and have been releasing gorgeous handbags. I stopped in for a little browse easter weekend and found myself drawn to this lovely tope-y grey shoulder bag, as a student i'm very careful with my pennies so i was about to walk out the door when my boyfriend started dragging me to the till and kindly purchased it for me as a pre early birthday gift. I can't wait to rock this throughout the Spring summer season. Its big enough to fit all of my essentials in but small and compact which is perfect for when you just want to pop out the door in the warmer weather.
What've you been loving this month?

I'm having a girly afternoon shopping with my Mum on Monday to get the majority of the presents i'm planning to buy. Something you may or may not know about me is that i absolutely adore fashion and fashion trends. I like to think i have a my own style as i don't usually tend to go on a purchase frenzy for all of the things everyone else is obsessing over. I try to take a pinch of something i like from one trend and then mishmash it with something else.
As a budding photographer, my eye has always been drawn to portraiture and fashion photography, mostly because it blends two things i'm passionate about effortlessly. For that reason I've decided to come up with a series on my blog called 'The Edit'. These posts will contain small clips and photographs of things i've been loving to wear.
For my first post, I bring you the peasant blouse. I've been wearing these for years but i recently discovered this blouse from Next in this perfect-for-autumn Mustard colour. You could wear this shirt many ways but for this look i've paired it with some Black skinny jeans, a sleeveless kimono style jacket, a tasselled necklace and some brown leather pointed shoes in a loafer style.

Hello 2015! Welcome to my first post of the year and hopefully one of many. I've made it my only resolution to post and shoot more for myself this year and not let myself get weighed under by my Photography degree! Maybe i'll cut down on the chocolate too but i'm making no promises.. On the last day of 2014 i photographed the wonderfully lovely blogger, Guna Campbell. Our paths crossed a few years ago when i photographed her and her then clothing line GunabyGC and ever since she's been blogging at Et-cetera: and other things, a vegan friendly fashion and lifestyle blog. I couldn't resist collaborating with her again when i was given the chance and voila, here are a selection of my favourite photographs, i'm sure you'll be able to see more on Guna's social media soon so make sure you take a little adventure over to her pages! If you've ever wondered what those little yellow flowers which seem to be dancing out in the winter sun this time of the year, they're Jasminum Nudiflorum a Chinese plant that manages thrive between November and March. They definitely brightened our day a little whilst shooting! Wishing everyone the best for the new year, Laura x
